Fine Arts
Festival
In the past we have had a Science and Arts Fair, but in 2008, we will have a brand new version to include the performing arts! This will be family entertainment at its’ best, in which even the fathers and extended families may attend! Let’s make this a time to include everyone such as neighbors, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!
Mark your family calendar now; CHSA’s new and improved, “Fine Arts Festival”, will be held on:
Friday evening, 29 February, 2008
The event will be planned and organized by committee members including: Angela Fineout, Kim Shorman, Anna Harris, Montse Vargas and April Music. Details will be forthcoming!
Do you have a child who is taking music, and possibly does not have the opportunity to perform, or a youngster who is creative, but does not have a venue to showcase it?
Begin
planning now! Students may use something
they prepared in an art class, or as a hobby, or music/recital piece, choir,
speech, etc., thus reducing stress for moms and children too!
The entire family will be invited to see and hear our very own students’
fabulous work, including:
q Visual arts:
q Artwork will be displayed, gallery style or on tables, including comment sheets as in the past.
q Science fair projects will be displayed here as well.
q Performing arts:
q Musical performances (instrumental or voice-solo or ensemble), skits, poetry recitations, monologues/speeches, etc.
q Reception:
q Light refreshments for all participants and audience alike!
