It is basically like going to the State Fair in the Woman's building and getting to look at all of the crafts, baked goods and so on that people have entered. Everyone gets ribbons for their entries. We also have a vendor area which will have vendors who have services that pertain to homeschoolers. Hourly door prizes will be given away.  We also have entertainment. This year, we are focusing on "music."  Lunch is included at this event. After lunch, we head outside for Olympic Games. These are great fun.......  Volunteers are needed to help before and after the event!

I hope this helps to answer some of the questions. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. Participation forms will be available in the coming weeks.

REMINDERS:  They do not have public restrooms, only the bathrooms in the house.  Visitors are welcome to use them as needed,
but they are just conventional bathrooms.  Some groups waste a lot of time waiting for people to cycle through the bathrooms, so they recommend arriving early to give the group time  to use the bathroom prior to the field trip start time.  So we need to arrive
BY 9:30AM at the latest, so everyone can use the bathroom, and they will start at 10:00AM for the tour.  It will last about 2 hrs.
with a walk length about a mile, in the fields on the farm.  So plan accordingly with strollers etc.
Here is the family's suggestion on traveling to their farm:
Take 121 North to McKinney.  Continue north on Hwy 5 to Hwy 380.  Then East on Hwy 380.  Turn North on Hwy 903,
turn east on Farm Road 2194, turn left on C.R. 1081.
Please also mapsco it way ahead of time so you know how to get there and leave early enough to make it by 9:30am!

The tour consists of walking around the farm to see the Grade A Raw Goat
Milk Dairy and hand milking goats for everyone who wants to try, tasting
Grade A Raw Goat Milk, walking the pastures to see the beef cattle, pastured
chickens, pastured pigs, and laying hens, gathering eggs from the
"eggmobile" portable hen houses.  Along the way, I explain what the children
are seeing in the way of organic and sustainable farming vs. conventional
factory farming.  We then return to the house area for a goat cheese making
demonstration and goat cheese tasting.  The group is welcome to stay for
lunch.  I use portable sound amplification equipment as we walk so everyone can hear. The total
walk is approximately one mile. There is a moderately strenuous hill to come back up.  Half the
walk is down, half is back up again.  Anyone who needs to can drive their own vehicle down in
the pasture behind the walkers. Bring picnic lunch to enjoy together OR eat at Mary of Puddin'
Hill in their deli.
Afterwards, we can proceed to Mary of Puddin' Hill: Come take the free special-guided
tours and see our Candy Kitchen, take the tour, smell the chocolates that are made right
before your eyes! While you are here enjoy a good meal in a quaint country atmosphere. Our
Puddin Hill Deli offers a wide variety of delicious sandwiches, soups and salads. You will not find
a better choice for your lunch.  Call ahead and place your order, we will have your lunch ready for
you when you arrive.  After you finish your meal be sure to spend some time looking around. We
have a lot of gorgeous and unique range of items along with many candy items to choose from.
